You MUST register to participate in our event. We're sorry but there are no exceptions. We require all participants to sign a waiver due to liability issues. Additionally, this a fundraiser for a very important charity. Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services provides services throughout the community and this event contributes significantly to their ability to do so.

Register as a Virtual Runner!

If you are unable to participate in the actual race but would like to help out and raise funds for the cause, simply register as a virtual runner on the entry form and we will send you an official race t-shirt to say "thanks".

You will have the option to register more than one person once you have completed the payment information screen. You will receive a link at the bottom to 'add another person'.

 

Pre-registration Packet Pickup Options
 If you have pre-registered online or by mail here are your 2 options for picking up your packet (bib, timing tag if applicable, & race shirt):

  1. Sacramento REI - Open today, Wednesday 11/25 through 7:00 PM.
    Folsom & Roseville stores are not available for pre-registration packet pickup.
    PLEASE NOTE:     Please plan on bringing either your email confirmation or the bib numbers of those you wish to pickup for as this will omit the need for you to look up your number(s) on our very long alpha list! You may pick up for friends and family members.

  2. Race Day - You may also pick up your bib and t-shirt on Race Day but we recommend you arrive early.
    PLEASE NOTE: If you are a timed runner and can only pickup on Race Day, please arrive in plenty of time for our new timed runner's start times: 10k - 8:45 am and 5k - 9:05 am.

All 3 stores will close at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 25th.

Pre-registration Packet Pickup Options

  1. REI Sacramento store* - Friday, Nov. 20th – Wednesday, Nov. 25th (during regular store hours*) Please note that the Folsom & Roseville stores are not available for pre-registration packet pickup.
  2. Race Day - You may also pick up your bib and t-shirt on Race Day but we recommend you arrive early. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a timed runner and can only pickup on Race Day, please arrive in plenty of time for our new timed runner's start times: 10k - 8:45 am and 5k - 9:05 am.

* We will close at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 25th.

 

2. Pre-Register In Person: Friday 11/20 through Wednesday 11/25*

Each of the REI stores listed below will host WALK-IN REGISTRATION from Friday, November 20th through Wednesday, November 25th during regular store hours.

The Sacramento REI store is the only location where you are able to register for the timed 5k/10k runs or the untimed 5k fun run/walk.

* On Wednesday, Nov. 25th registration closes at 7 pm at all 3 REI stores.

If you feel you need assistance please go to our contact page rather than calling any of the REI stores. The staff at the REI stores will not be able to answer your questions. Thanks!

3. Register on Race Day

If you would like to also send in donations at this time or bring them with you on Race Day you may print a form here. There will be donation boxes throughout the area on Race Day. We recommend you put your donations in a sealed envelope with all the information to credit the pledges to you.

Of course you can register on race day. The fee is higher, the crowd is big and the t-shirts are running out, but we love your spontaneity and will get you registered and on your way as fast as possible! Race Day Registration takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Race day registrants will not have the option to have their run timed and will not receive an official race result. Also, race day registrants are not guaranteed a race shirt. Please refer to our "What's New for 2009" page for the details. Arrive early!
